Anker Soundcore R60i NC vs R50i NC: Is It Worth the Upgrade

Soundcore R50i NC vs R60i NC: Which Should You Buy?

Choose the Soundcore R50i NC if you want ANC earbuds for Rs. 6,999. Spend the extra Rs. 1,500 on the R60i NC if you'll use LDAC or want longer listening time with noise cancellation switched on.

Already own the R50i NC? Keep them if they still do what you need. A newer model number alone isn't a reason to replace a working pair.

Soundcore R50i NC vs R60i NC: prices and specifications

Prices checked at Dynsol on 26 October 2026. Both models had stock in several colours at the time of checking; colour availability and prices can change. This comparison is based on published specifications, not a hands-on listening test.

Battery figures are manufacturer laboratory estimates, not guaranteed daily runtimes. Volume, calls, ANC and codec settings affect how long a charge lasts. Case totals include recharging the earbuds; they aren't one uninterrupted listening session.

Is the extra Rs. 1,500 worth it?

For a new buyer who will use ANC most days, we'd lean towards the R60i NC. The published ANC-on battery rating is two hours longer per charge. That's a more useful distinction than simply comparing the biggest battery number on each box.

The R50i NC still makes sense with a firm Rs. 7,000 budget. You get noise cancellation, app EQ and a case that can prop up your phone while you watch a video. If those are the features you came for, there's no need to stretch your budget just to buy the newer pair.

What the ANC numbers do—and don't—tell you

Soundcore advertises a higher maximum noise-reduction figure for the R60i NC. That doesn't tell us exactly how much quieter your commute will feel. Fit, the type of noise and the frequencies being measured all matter. A good seal with the right ear tips is worth sorting out before judging either pair.

Listening ANC and microphone noise reduction are different jobs. We wouldn't promise clearer calls beside busy traffic just because one model has a bigger ANC figure. There isn't a controlled, side-by-side call test behind this guide.

Buying for an Android phone or iPhone

LDAC gives the R60i NC an extra option with a compatible source device. Check your phone's codec support before treating it as a reason to upgrade. If your phone can't send LDAC audio, that particular advantage won't help you.

iPhone users: iPhones do not support LDAC, so LDAC is not a reason for you to pick the R60i NC. Decide on the other differences instead: the stronger ANC claim and the longer battery life with ANC on. If those don't matter to you, the R50i NC saves Rs. 1,500.

Android users: many Android phones support LDAC. You can usually check in your phone's Bluetooth or developer settings, where the available audio codecs are listed.

Soundcore also notes that LDAC and spatial audio cannot be enabled together on the R60i NC. You don't get every advertised mode running at once. Use the mode that suits your listening instead of choosing a pair on the longest feature list.

Should an R50i NC owner upgrade?

If the battery no longer covers your day and you spend a lot of time with ANC enabled, the R60i NC is worth considering. If your current pair lasts long enough and you're happy with it, save the money. Published specifications don't prove that your music will suddenly sound much better.

Searching “R50i vs R60i”? Check for “NC” in the name

Many buyers search for “R50i vs R60i” or “Anker R50 vs R60” without the NC. Be careful: the regular R50i and the R50i NC are different products, and the regular R50i is the cheaper, older model. This guide compares the two noise-cancelling models, the R50i NC and the R60i NC. Both are in stock at Dynsol; we don't sell the regular R50i. If you're comparing prices from other sellers, check that the full product name includes “NC” so you're comparing like with like.

Soundcore's support documentation also uses P30i/R50i NC and P31i/R60i NC for these model families, so you may see those names on international listings.

Common buying questions

Which is the cheaper option?

The R50i NC was Rs. 6,999 at our price check, against Rs. 8,499 for the R60i NC—a Rs. 1,500 difference.

What is the difference between the R50i NC and R60i NC?

The R60i NC has a higher maximum ANC claim (52 dB vs 42 dB), longer battery life with ANC on (8 vs 6 hours per charge) and LDAC support. The R50i NC is cheaper and its case doubles as a phone stand.

Do the 45-hour and 50-hour ratings include the case?

Yes. Both are total figures with case recharges and ANC switched off. For listening with ANC on, compare the separate row in the table.

Is the R60i NC worth it for iPhone users?

Only for its stronger ANC claim and longer ANC-on battery life. iPhones don't support LDAC, so that feature won't apply.

Can the R60i NC use two connected devices and LDAC together?

Soundcore's support FAQ says yes, although enabling LDAC on both devices reduces battery life.

Is the R60i NC automatically the better buy?

Only if its extra features matter to you. For a tight budget, the R50i NC costs less and already covers the basic ANC-and-app combination.
