Product Description
Keep track of everyday essentials with the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2. This compact item tracker can be attached to keys, backpacks, luggage, bicycles and other valuable belongings, allowing you to locate them through Samsung SmartThings Find.
Galaxy SmartTag2 uses Bluetooth Low Energy for nearby tracking and Ultra-Wideband technology for more precise directional guidance on compatible Samsung Galaxy phones. Its redesigned loop makes it easy to attach, while IP67 protection helps it handle dust, rain and everyday outdoor use.
With a replaceable battery lasting up to 500 days in Normal Mode—and up to 700 days in Power Saving Mode—it provides long-term tracking without frequent charging.
Key Features
Find Important Items More Easily
Attach the Galaxy SmartTag2 to frequently misplaced belongings and view their location through the SmartThings Find app. The built-in buzzer can produce a sound to help locate an item nearby.
Bluetooth and UWB Tracking
Bluetooth 5.3 provides a direct tracking range of up to 120 metres under suitable open conditions. Compatible UWB-enabled Galaxy phones can also display the tag’s direction and approximate distance through Compass View.
Search Nearby with Direction Guidance
When the tag is close, Search Nearby helps detect its signal. On supported UWB Galaxy phones, Compass View provides directional arrows and distance information for more accurate searching.
SmartThings Find Network
When the tag moves outside your phone’s direct Bluetooth range, nearby participating Galaxy devices may securely detect it and update its approximate location in SmartThings Find. Location data is protected through encryption and Samsung Knox.
NFC Lost Mode
Lost Mode lets you add a contact message to the SmartTag2. A person who finds the item can scan the tag using an NFC-enabled phone with internet access to view the message you have chosen to share.
Long Replaceable Battery Life
The included CR2032 coin battery offers up to 500 days of use in Normal Mode. Power Saving Mode can extend battery life to as much as 700 days, depending on settings and usage.
IP67 Dust and Water Resistance
The tracker carries an IP67 rating for resistance against dust and temporary fresh-water exposure under controlled test conditions. It is water resistant, not fully waterproof.
Strong, Easy-Attach Design
A reinforced metal-lined loop improves durability and makes the SmartTag2 easier to connect to keyrings, clips, luggage and bags.
Smart Device Control
The SmartTag2 button can be configured through SmartThings to control supported and registered smart-home devices. Available actions depend on your SmartThings setup.
How Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 Works
Register the tracker with your Samsung account using the SmartThings app on a compatible Galaxy smartphone or tablet. After setup, attach it to an item and use SmartThings Find to check its location, activate the buzzer or search nearby.
For Compass View and camera-based directional finding, a compatible UWB-enabled Samsung Galaxy smartphone is required.
