Nothing CMF Buds Pro 2 Review

CMF Buds Pro 2 Review Pakistan - Better Than Buds 2 Plus?

There is a very specific kind of frustration that every Pakistani earbuds buyer knows well.

You spend Rs.10,000 to 15,000 on wireless earbuds. The box looks great. The specs sheet looks even better. Then you step outside into a rickshaw-filled street, a crowded bazaar, or a packed office  and the "Active Noise Cancellation" does approximately nothing. The bass is muddy. The call quality sounds like you're speaking through a wet cloth.

So when CMF by Nothing released the Buds Pro 2 with claims of 50dB ANC, LDAC Hi-Res audio, and a dual-driver setup I tested it the only way that matters in Pakistan: in real noise, on real commutes, with real expectations.

Here is everything you need to know.

CMF Buds Pro 2  Review in Pakistan

CMF Buds Pro 2 are wireless earbuds from CMF by Nothing. They are made for people who want good sound, noise cancellation, long battery life, and a stylish design at a fair price.

They come in four colors: Black, Red, Blue, and White. The white variant picks up marks over time if you are not careful; Black is the safest daily-use choice. Dynsol also offers same-day pickup at their Lahore store (54-LG, Al-Hafeez Center, Gulberg 3) if you want them immediately. Delivery to Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad typically takes 2–4 working days. For other cities, expect 5–7 working days.

Specs at a Glance

Before the detailed review, here is everything in one place:

Feature CMF Buds Pro 2
Driver setup Dual: 11mm dynamic + 6mm planar tweeter
Active Noise Cancellation Hybrid ANC, up to 50dB
Audio codec LDAC (Hi-Res), AAC, SBC
Battery — earbuds 11 hours (ANC off) / 7.5 hours (ANC on)
Battery — total with case 43 hours
Bluetooth version 5.3
Water resistance IP55 (earbuds), IP54 (case)
App support Nothing X (Android + iOS)
Microphones 3 mics per earbud
Price in Pakistan Rs.13,450 at Dynsol.pk

The dual-driver setup is what separates the Buds Pro 2 from almost everything else at this price point. Most earbuds under Rs.15,000 in Pakistan use a single dynamic driver. The planar tweeter handles the high frequencies separately, which in practice means more detail in vocals and instruments without the harshness you get when a single driver is pushed too hard.

CMF Buds Pro 2 vs Buds 2 Plus | Which Should You Buy?

The CMF Buds 2 Plus and the Buds Pro 2 sit at identical price points. That makes the comparison genuinely important you are choosing between two philosophies at the same price.

Feature CMF Buds Pro 2 CMF Buds 2 Plus
Driver Dual (dynamic + planar) Single dynamic
ANC depth Up to 50dB Adaptive ANC
LDAC support Yes No
Battery (earbuds) 11 hours 8 hours
Total battery 43 hours 32 hours
Water resistance IP55 IP55
Price (Dynsol.pk) Rs.13,450 Rs.13,450

At the same price, the Buds Pro 2 wins on almost every technical specification.

The Buds 2 Plus does have Adaptive ANC  meaning it automatically adjusts the level of noise cancellation based on your environment rather than requiring you to toggle manually. That is a genuinely useful quality-of-life feature for people who switch between quiet offices and noisy streets constantly without thinking about it.

But the Buds Pro 2's 50dB ANC ceiling is deeper when you need maximum noise blocking on a flight, in a loud workshop, or sitting next to a generator during load-shedding. The extra 11-hour battery also means fewer charges across a week.

Both are excellent. But if I had to pick one, the Buds Pro 2 gives you more for the money.

Sound Quality & ANC Test Pakistan Real World

I tested the CMF Buds Pro 2 in three environments that matter to Pakistani daily life.

Lahore traffic (inside a car, windows up): ANC on High cuts the constant background hum of traffic to a low, manageable rumble. You can hear music clearly, and voices on calls come through cleanly. The three-microphone ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) for calls is noticeably better than what I have used on similarly priced earbuds callers could hear me clearly even when I was outside on a busy road.

Office environment (AC noise, background chatter): This is where the Buds Pro 2 genuinely shines. The 50dB ANC completely removes the hiss of an air conditioner and drops conversation noise to a level where you can focus without hearing every word around you. I used these through a full work-from-home day without fatigue the fit is comfortable enough for 3–4 hour sessions without ear soreness.

Commute on a rickshaw (worst case scenario): Yes, I tried this. At maximum ANC, the engine noise drops significantly but does not disappear completely which is realistic. Nothing at this price point will make a rickshaw engine silent. But the reduction was enough to listen to a podcast at a reasonable volume without straining. Compared to earbuds I have used at similar prices that claim "ANC" but deliver almost nothing, this is a genuine difference.

Sound quality without ANC: the dual-driver setup gives you a noticeably balanced sound. Bass has weight without being bloated, and the planar tweeter keeps vocals clean. For Pakistani music whether you listen to Atif Aslam, classic ghazals, or heavy bass tracks  the tuning works well across genres. The Nothing X app's equaliser gives you further control if you want to boost treble or bass.

What Is LDAC and Do You Actually Need It in Pakistan?

LDAC is a Bluetooth audio codec developed by Sony. In plain language: it transmits more audio data over Bluetooth than standard codecs, which means better sound quality when streaming up to three times more data than regular AAC.

Most earbuds in Pakistan including many much more expensive ones only support AAC or SBC, which are older, lower-bandwidth codecs. LDAC support on the CMF Buds Pro 2 at Rs.13,450 is genuinely unusual at this price.

First, your phone. LDAC only works if your Android phone also supports LDAC. Most Xiaomi, Samsung Galaxy, and Sony phones from 2021 onwards support it. iPhones do not support LDAC Apple uses AAC, and the Buds Pro 2 will use AAC when connected to an iPhone, which is still good quality. You can check your phone's Developer Options under Bluetooth audio codec to confirm.

Second, your streaming quality. LDAC's benefits are most noticeable when streaming at high quality (Spotify Premium, YouTube Music High Quality, Apple Music Lossless via an Android workaround). On lower-quality streams, you will not hear a dramatic difference.

If you have a compatible Android phone and listen on a high-quality streaming plan: LDAC is a real upgrade you will notice on well-recorded tracks. If you are on an iPhone or a free Spotify tier: the improvement is marginal, but you are still getting the dual-driver sound quality regardless.

Who Should Buy CMF Buds Pro 2 in Pakistan?

After two weeks of daily use, I can say this without hesitation: the CMF Buds Pro 2 is the best wireless earbuds you can buy in Pakistan in 2025.

The dual-driver system delivers audio quality that earbuds at twice this price struggle to match. The 50dB ANC is deep enough to make a real difference in Pakistani traffic and office environments. At 11 hours per charge and 43 hours total, the battery life is class-leading at this price.

Buy the CMF Buds Pro 2 if:

  • You want the best sound quality under Rs.15,000
  • You work in noisy environments and need real ANC
  • You have a compatible Android phone and want LDAC
  • You want 40+ hour total battery life
  • You use earbuds for long calls and need clear mic quality

Consider something else if:

  • You use an iPhone and want Adaptive ANC convenience (the Buds 2 Plus suits iPhone users slightly better)
  • You want the smallest, most discreet fit possible (the Buds Pro 2 are slightly larger than some competitors)
